A lot of exciting developments have been happening at Hatchet Caye over the last few months and we are thrilled to share what is new on the island, starting with our rebranding!

First thing, first...

We are now officially known as Ray Caye!

Our new name has been changed to reflect the unforgettable tropical experience of the island, highlighting the nightly visits from our friendly neighborhood Spotted Eagle Rays.

Just like our rays waving to you around the dock, count on all the things you have come to love and expect of Hatchet Caye and more!

Receive a warm welcome at the island’s newly built welcome center which houses the reception desk, gift shop and a lounge area.

Our newly built Great House, features four hotel rooms, an additional pool and restaurant, open exclusively to island guests.

Catch the last rays of sunshine as you lounge by the resort's new pool and grab a refreshing cocktail from the island's newly opened restaurant. Expect to enjoy fresh seafood and rich locally sourced ingredients from the island's lengthened organic garden.

Enjoy a relaxing island stay at our recently refurbished Ocean Front and Ocean View cabanas, or stay in one of three newly built standalone cabanas.

We’ve also added more ways to enjoy your stay at Ray Caye. Opt to spend the day rejuvenating at the resort's new spa and gym, which includes a yoga deck with a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea.

With all this development going on, sustainability remains at the forefront of our practices, and we are thrilled to have added a new solar panels to our docks to go along with our new Tesla Powerwall solar system.

With comfort, convenience and service at our core, as of January 2019, you can come to Ray Caye to experience the Caribbean the way nature intended; just you, a pristine sand beach and the crystal clear sea at your doorstep.

Ray Caye

In 2019 Hatchet Caye changed its name to Ray Caye. Because of this, some of the older blog posts will refer to Hatchet Caye and the newer ones will refer to Ray Caye. Either way, they are the same private island you have come to love.
